TallyUp review
Let’s face it, we all want to know what’s in it for us, and we all appreciate how frustrating and tedious chores can be… you just want to watch the Euros, or read a book, or doom-scroll through twitter. Every individual in an office or household tends to have their designated roles, and some are definitely nicer than others. If only there was a way to motivate people to take on different chores, especially ones they don’t like… Well now there’s an app to incentivise you, TallyUp is a service designed to reward points for completing chores, and the less desirable earning you more points!
This is a very simple and small app, so there isn’t much to discuss, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a nifty idea! To sign up, go to the site and create an account. Alternatively you can scan the QR code on the site and download the app to your device. Once you have an account, send invites out to your colleagues or housemates and then you can start creating chores.
The app is as straightforward as they come, creating the chores is simple. There are no preset chores to choose from, which gives you the freedom to customise bespoke tasks that suit your situation perfectly - we like this a lot. Additionally, the points system is entirely up to you, how your group sees each task and its difficulty/unpleasantness can be the perfect factors for determining the scores. Again, TallyUp doesn’t facilitate the rewards, nor the points, it’s simply a body to build upon, how your group rewards itself is completely up to you.. Cash usually works, or they can pick a film, or they can have an hour off on Fridays, the choices are entirely yours to make.
So there you have it, build a strong home/work-life chore culture with TallyUp, make chores (a little more) exciting and work out how best to reward those that go the extra mile. TallyUp is by no means a world changer, but it certainly gives doing the ironing a bit of a boost!
TallyUp, fair play, you get 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼/5!
