Supershots review

Let’s face it, taking screenshots is a major part of life now. Whether it’s on your phone, tablet, or desktop - we are always saving our screen for one reason or another. In many lines of work, screenshots are the most effective form of image capture - especially for meetings with clients or building reports. But screenshots often look untidy or dull, and need jazzing up. Our tool of the week is Supershots which does just that!

In short, Supershots is a free web-based tool that provides you with a variety of colourful backgrounds you can mount your screenshots on. Simple. Similar to services like Screely, you can make your screenshots really pop. Obviously you can add a nice background to any image, not just screenshots but given the title, we figure that was where Supershots targeted their focus. The website is clear, concise and very easy to use.

There is no signup required, simply upload an image, select one of the 20 background colours - all of which have a nice metallic-esque gradient to them - and the dimensions of the background. There is ‘Generic’ (think widescreen), ‘Landscape’ (which is just a scaled down version of generic), ‘Portrait’ for taller, thinner images, and ‘Square’… we recommend square for social media posts.

When you’re happy with your image, just hit download and boof you’re done. There is no limit to how many images you can make, go to town and make your screenshots pop. Supershots is from the brains at Superblog - a blogging platform designed for writing efficiency, security and time management - clearly these guys care about optimising your creative admin - and we’re very grateful. There isn’t much more to say about Supershots, just try it for yourself. It’s free, simple, unlimited and it will improve the appearance of screenshots. It’s a no-brainer.

Supershots, we’re hooked. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼/5
