Synthesia review
Creating videos takes time, money and a lot of motivated individuals - but a quality video is highly rewarding. Whether it’s a webinar, a lecture or a presentation, a bit of production value goes a long way. That’s where Synthesia comes in, you type in your text (in up to 34 languages!), and using its AI technology, it turns your copy into a polished talking head video! I’ve tried this new tool out a couple of times now and other than some pronunciation hiccups, I’ve been very impressed.
The interface is clean, concise and simple to use. All you need to do is sign up and start creating! Select your video’s template, write in your messaging, then choose your talking head, its language and accent. You can also customise the background to your liking and choose music from Synthesia’s content bank. All frills, no spills. I’ve even added a sample I made below, check it out by clicking the image below.
I’ve been part of a few video projects in my time, and you may experience some unforeseen delays in the workflow, which can impact deadlines and people’s time and availability. The beauty of this tool is you can click ‘create video’, put the kettle on, maybe do the hoovering and your content will be emailed to you just as your cuppa’s the perfect temperature ☕. Synthesia is free for your first video, however if your content needs are more plentiful, it’ll set you back £23 a month for 10 videos… Perhaps this is something that will put off some users returning.
Synthesia was used to transcreate Snoop Dogg’s Just-eat advert for the Australian market, and the multilingual David Beckham deep fake video that broke the internet last year! Take advantage of the seamless, efficient and high quality video content that Synthesia provides.
Did somebody say Just-eat? Synthesia did.
