Milanote review

‘Back to the drawing board’ is a pretty familiar phrase. Strategists, creatives, military leaders have all developed plans only to have them scuppered by an unforeseen obstacle, and getting everyone back together for a rethink can often be a challenge in itself. Well now there’s a new way to collaborate effectively and freely within a creative or strategic space. Milanote is an all-new online project management tool designed to let you and your team work on projects with the creative freedoms that you need.

Milanote is free to sign up, although the free service only allocates up to 100 notes being created over all of your projects - so this is something you will have to consider depending on your workload. The paid plans are $9.99 for individual use, or $49.99 for your team. In essence, Milanote is if Trello and an etch-a-sketch had a baby. You can create boards containing all of your individual projects, and drag them wherever you like on to your interactive work grid. Once you have a project created in your ‘home’, you can now add links, text boxes, arrows, boards, comments, images and even draw across your work grid. You have complete control over how you want to work, giving you some freedom and allowing your brain to focus on the more pressing tasks at hand.

Milanote can also be downloaded to your smartphone/tablet for project management on the go, with it having such aesthetically pleasing and intuitive drag and drop features - it can be used on different devices with ease. We feel the best way to fully understand, and enjoy Milanote is by trying it for yourself, but if you like the sound of a completely adjustable project management drawing board, accessible from any device then Milanote is probably right for you. The free version is limited, but you still have a lot of notes you’re allowed to make (100) so depending on the quantity of your task-load, or frequency of your note-taking then it’s definitely worth testing out for yourself. We really like this tool, it’s almost organic approach to project management building gives the user a real sense of control, there is basically an endless space to continuously work and develop your projects, whatever they are.

As with most of these apps, our reviews can affect your feelings towards them, but we really want you to try them for yourself and see if they work for you. Milanote is an intriguing tool, we haven’t seen this level of fluid customisation in a management tool before, it’s really neat. Maybe this is the future of remote creative collaborative business?

Milanote, very nice, we’re interested in seeing more of this! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼/5
